International Trade Administration (ITA)
  Provides information on export questions, country data, trade offices, tariffs & taxes, trade partners, statistics, export assistance programs, and more.


 

Export Legal Assistance Network (ELAN)
  ELAN is a program under which lawyers from the Federal Bar Association and other interested professional associations volunteer to provide initial legal consultations free of charge to companies making their first entry into the export market. Contact an SBA international trade officer or the ELAN coordinator for your region to arrange a meeting.


 

Juris International
  Juris International is a multilingual collection (English, Spanish, and French) of legal information on international trade. It aims to facilitate and reduce the work involved in research for business lawyers, advisers and in-house counsel, and state organizations in developing and transition economies, by providing access to texts which have often been difficult to obtain. Its objective is to gather a large quantity of basic information at one site (favoring complete legal texts), without the need to send for the information, and consequently without excessive communication costs for users who do not benefit from an efficient and cheap telecommunications network.


 

Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)
  A U.S. Government Agency, OPIC helps U.S. businesses invest overseas, fosters economic development in new and emerging markets, complements the private sector in managing the risks associated with foreign direct investment, and supports U.S. foreign policy.


 

Federation Of International Trade Associations (FITA)
  FITA fosters international trade by strengthening the role of local, regional, and national associations throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada that have an international missionAccess to a broad array of information for international trade. It provides such resources as global trade leads, business and trade directories, and market research.


 

International Trade Center (ITC)
  ITC is the technical cooperation agency of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). It supports developing and transition economies, and particularly their business sector, in their efforts to realize their full potential for developing exports and improving import operations. ITC’s technical assistance concentrates on the three issues for which it believes the need for national capacity-building is most critical: helping businesses understand WTO rules; strengthening enterprise competitiveness; and developing new trade promotion strategies.

North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE)
  NASBITE seeks to promote an exchange of information and resources by those involved in international trade education and assistance. It offers professional development for those engaged in global trade education, and provides advocacy and leadership for international trade education professionals. It also hosts an annual conference on the latest exporting education and training.


 

Small Business Exporters Association (SBEA)
  The SBEA serves as the international trade arm of the National Small Business Association, and is dedicated exclusively to small and mid-size business exporters in the United States. Its member benefits include general advocacy, a trade lead database and networking opportunities, and discounted shipping rates.


 

National Association Of Export Companies (NEXCO)
  NEXCO is an international trade association that sponsors monthly seminars in New York City that provide pertinent and timely information to importers, exporters, freight forwarders, bankers, attorneys, accountants, and any other professional engaged in global trade.


 

Office Of International Trade (OIT)
  As part of the SBA, the OIT directs and coordinates SBA’s ongoing export initiatives and resources in an effort to encourage small businesses going global.

U.S. Agency For International Development (USAID)
  USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State. The agency works to support long-term and equitable economic growth and advance U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting economic growth, agricultural and trade, global health, democracy, and conflict and humanitarian assistance.


 

Foreign Agriculture Service (FAS)
  A U.S. Department of Agriculture agency, FAS works to improve foreign market access for U.S. products, build new markets, improve the competitive position of U.S. agriculture in the global marketplace, and provide food aid and technical assistance to foreign countries. It has the primary responsibility for USDA’s international activities, and administers USDA’s export credit guarantee and food aid programs.

U.S. Trade And Development Agency (USTDA)
  The USTDA advances economic development and U.S. commercial interests in developing and middle income countries. The agency funds various forms of technical assistance, feasibility studies, training, orientation visits, and business workshops that support the development of a modern infrastructure and a fair and open trading environment.
